Event Details

There are many hats that victim advocates wear, from assisting victims during the criminal justice proceedings to being the liaison between prosecutors and the victims and everything in between. Stepping into the role of a victim advocate is challenging but rewarding! That's where we come in to share resources and support to assist you in your everyday tasks. This course is for new advocates with less than two years of experience. Below is a list of the topics that will be covered.

  • The Many Hats We Wear
  • Early Victim Notification Process
  • Ethics, Equity, and Inclusion in Victim Services
  • Marsy's Law / Crime Victim's Bill of Rights
  • And more!

This course will offer up to 5.5 hours victim advocate hours, and certificate templates will be emailed after the event has concluded. Unfortunately, this course does not provide CLE/POST hours for attorneys or law enforcement officers.

Registration begins at 8:30am with the first lecture starting at 9:00am.
