Elder Abuse is a widespread, under-reported issue in our state. This training is designed to provide practical information which will aid in the investigation and prosecution of elder abuse cases. Attendees will leave this training with a better understanding of the issues surrounding elder abuse as well as strategies for how to effectively investigate and prosecute these cases.

This is an in-person training and there will not be a webinar option. It offers 6 CLE and POST hours and 4 Victim Advocate hours.

Reimbursement:

The only reimbursements that will be offered are to staff of the District Attorneys' Offices if their DA approves of the travel.

Parking:

Parking is limited in front of the building, so we ask that guests please park their vehicles at the park-ride in the designated RCSO spaces, and walk the pathway to the Jail Admin / Training Annex building. Law enforcement with access can park behind the guard line. The training will be held in the Main Training Suite on the 2nd floor of the Jail Admin / Training Annex Building.

Any person entering the premises waives all civil liability against this premises owner and operator for any injuries caused by the inherent risk associated with contracting COVID-19 at public gatherings, except for gross negligence, willful and wanton misconduct, reckless infliction of harm, or intentional infliction of harm, by the individual or entity of the premises.
