We are pleased to extend an invitation to you for the upcoming Complex Homicide Conference, focusing on murder prosecution and investigation. This conference aims to bring together seasoned and not-so-seasoned legal professionals, law enforcement officers, and experts in the field to share insights, exchange knowledge, and discuss best practices in prosecuting and investigating homicide cases.


Agenda | Agenda coming soon. We will start at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, January 17th and conclude on Friday, January 19th at 12:00 PM.


Attendance | Registration and attendance at this Conference are limited to attorneys and investigators who are employed by a District Attorney, a Solicitor-General, the Attorney General, or a United States Attorney. Representatives of law enforcement agencies and retired prosecuting attorneys who are not engaged in the private practice of criminal law may register and attend if space is available.


Out-of-State Attendance | APA and PAC welcome out-of-state prosecutors and law enforcement to attend as well. Reimbursement for out-of-state attendees is given at the discretion of APA. There are no PAC reimbursement funds for out-of-state attendees.


Topics | Topics may include Ethics and Professionalism, Bullet Proofing Your Murder Case, Interviews and Interrogations, Mental Health Defenses, and more!

Credit Hours | At least 12 CLE credits will be offered including Professionalism, Ethics, and Trial hours. POST credits will also be offered. No Advocate credit is available.



Registration Payment/Refunds | Due to limited seating, we are requiring that all registration payments be paid in full by Friday, January 5, 2024. If your registration fee is not paid by this date, your registration will be canceled. The registration fee is $225 for prosecution and law enforcement offices. In addition, we will not be processing any refunds after January 5th. Being registered for this conference does not give you access to the Winter Conference. These are two separate events.


Lodging | You are responsible for making your own lodging. The suggested lodging is located in the "Documents" tab listed above. The blocks do expire on December 19th, so please make your arrangements ASAP.

Reimbursement information is located in the "Documents" tab above. Please note that employees of Solicitor Offices are eligible for up to $500 in reimbursement per year.
